What Do You Need To Supply?
Content We May Need
Prior to us commenting your project we will need your content.
Content is all the text and images we need to build your website. The list below is a summary of what we will require but doesn't include everything. This is just intended as a starting point for you so that you can begin putting everything together and be ready to go.
We will provide you with a list of what we need for each page or section prior to booking your project time slot.
Your logo with a transparent background. This type of file will be a .png file. JPEGs do not have transparent backgrounds and will only be able to be used on a section that has the same background colour.
In the images below, the one on the left is a jpeg file and as you can see the back ground is white. The image on the right is a PNG file with a transparent background.
We can't use a JPEG with a white background on a coloured page so we will need your logo to be a PNG file OR we will need versions of each. If you are in doubt please get in touch and we may be able to help.
We will need headshots of your team for the team section or page. Ideally theses should all have the same background and be taken from the same distance away. It can look very messy if team photos are all completely different in style.
A selection of images we can use across the website. These might be for a full page header, or for a services section.
Any images you would like to use for a gallery. These can be much more diverse in style and colours.
Images We Will Need
Headers for each page and/or section. We will give you a guideline for how to create these based around SEO. SEO (search engine optimisation) is how Google and other search engines finds your website. How you structure your heading and paragraph text does matter so we will give you a concept of how to formulate this text.
Paragraph text for each section/or page. This might include:
- About page/section
- Our Team page/section
- Services You Offer
A list of contact information. Salon phone numbers, emails, locations etc.
You will need to be aware that the information we need for a one page website will be much less than what we need for a full 5 page website.
We also need this text supplied to us in digital format. We need to be able to copy and paste the information so we can't accept it in hard copy.
Edits We Will Make
We may reword your content slightly to work better for SEO, however we don't usually rewrite it.
Likewise with images, we do not typically edit photos. We can quote you to do so if you need, however its not something that is included in our usual process.
Things To Be Aware Of
Images in particular should be provided in the same layout. IE If 70% of your pictures are in landscape style (width is greater than the height), if you supply the remainder in a portrait layout (width is less than the height) it is difficult to combine these across the website.
Text We Will Need
ONE PAGE WEBSITES
We have some one page website templates to choose from, all of which are customisable.
Templates can seem a bit "same same"but once you add your images, colours, logo and content that is unique to your salon, its very rare that any 2 look the same.
Almost all website builders start with templates now.

FIVE PAGE WEBSITES
5 page websites are suitable for salons that might have more information to put online, have a great selection of photos to display or just want to showcase their services with more information.
We have templates for this option too, and like the 1 page sites, by the time you add in all your content no 2 ever look the same.

Five page template websites are $2200 + gst.
CUSTOM WEBSITES
A custom designed website is exactly that. We do a very thorough interview, get examples of styles you like and then create a website just for you.
These sites are a minimum of 5 pages and do take longer to produce. While we can have a template based website up in a few days, custom websites can take at a minimum a few weeks.
